E|H was engaged by a popular East Village bar to conduct a full HR compliance audit and help standardize their onboarding process. The business had recently partnered with a venture capital firm and needed to update its HR practices to meet the VC firm’s risk management standards.
E|H conducted a full employee file audit and identified both system and human errors. We also determined potential compliance issues regarding NYS Wage Notices as they were set up in the e-onboarding platform. While partnering with the e-onboarding platform to ensure compliance, our team implemented a temporary digital solution through Docusign to ensure wage notice compliance. We also conducted a payroll audit and worked with the owner to ensure wage and hour issues were correctly moving forward.
E|H successfully uncovered major compliance risks, developed a plan to tackle file corrections and automated wage and hour compliance in the payroll system. We also collaborated with the e-onboarding solution to comply with pay rate notification requirements specific to hospitality businesses in New York City.
