After a successful series A, a quickly-growing startup was scaling quickly and looking for an HR solution to grow along with them. The startup blended hospitality and technology in a unique co-working concept, and E|H’s hospitality expertise resonated with its ethos.

Our Solution

One of E|H’s seasoned HR directors and a small administrative team provided part-time leadership and operational support to help guide this client’s rapid growth. Our HR director became an integral member of the company’s leadership team, attending leadership meetings, supporting key personnel transitions, and advising the CEO on people and culture. As the company grew, Empowered was able to scale up the level of support in kind, while remaining more affordable and flexible than a traditional in-house HR staffing model, as well as reducing the client’s fixed costs.

The Results

E|H supported several projects critical to the company’s growth, including migrating the company to a new PEO, resolving numerous sensitive employee relations issues, supporting the exit of a key executive, and recruiting several key leaders. This engagement ended on a high note – with the acquisition of the startup by a global corporation.
