A native Brooklynite and current resident of Lecce, Italy, Candice has enjoyed a 20-year career in the hospitality industry as a pastry chef, AGM, and HR consultant at E|H. Prior to joining E|H in 2018, Candice was an opening manager for 71Above Restaurant and Skylounge atop the US Bank Tower in LA. A world traveler, Candice has patronized countless restaurants around the world, furthering her genuine love for our industry. Candice's experience with a variety of HRIS, payroll and onboarding platforms provides deep subject matter expertise to E|H's clients. Candice has her bachelor's degree in theatre and production management from SUNY Albany.

My favorite dining experiences are at small local businesses. I love when you can see the attention to detail in handcrafted furniture and crockery, high-quality ingredients and the ambiance created. One of my favorite places here in Lecce is a café where the owners know my order by heart, everyone who works there makes me feel welcome, the espressino tastes the same each visit and the decor is thoughtful and cozy.
What does "creating workplaces where people thrive" mean to you?
Building a foundation for open and clear communication, expectations and processes. Management should be well trained and aligned to provide consistent support and guidance, really involved in holding employees accountable and promoting them to be successful based on their individual strengths.
