Whitney Sanchez

HR Consultant

portrait of team member Whitney has worked in hospitality from a young age, starting at the country club where her mom ran the Food & Beverage program. After earning her degree in Hospitality Administration from Florida State University, she pursued her love for operations in restaurant leadership roles, eventually working with renowned teams at Union Square Hospitality Group and with Chef Rick Bayless. Her focus on front-of-house excellence and guest experience naturally led her to USHG’s corporate office, where she centralized operational systems and stepped into an Operations Excellence role. It was in that role—while building training programs and onboarding systems—that Whitney discovered her true passion for HR. Since earning her SHRM-CP certification in 2021, she has combined hands-on operational experience with a strategic, people-first approach to human resources.
What is your ideal restaurant experience?
I'm all about ordering too much food and sharing with friends, especially when we're exploring new spots together. When I'm solo, I love settling in at the bar of a cozy neighborhood favorite, where the vibe is relaxed and familiar.
What does “creating workplaces where people thrive” mean to you?
It means fostering an environment where everyone feels included, challenged, and supported in their growth. It’s about open communication, meaningful opportunities, and—most importantly—having fun while doing great work together.
