Kimberly Peterson

HR Operations Associate

portrait of team member Kimberly’s professional hospitality journey began while she was earning her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management. They completed a rigorous internship at the F&B outlets within a hotel close to home in Point Clear, AL. Although this internship was challenging, she greatly valued such immersive experience in a diverse assortment of restaurants and roles. Their time with so many deeply passionate and service-oriented people from all walks of life made them feel profoundly reassured that this was the industry for them. Finding her way to HR and payroll, she feels deeply fulfilled using her analytical prowess to ensure these hardworking individuals are paid accurately and on time.
What is your ideal restaurant experience?
I am very fond of a restaurant environment that’s easy on the senses. A space that is quiet, dimly lit, and soothing makes me feel as though I can really focus on the great food and company around me. I also value being able to feel the creativity and passion emanating from the cuisine as well as the service. Those aspects combined make me feel like I’m immersed in a work of art!
What does “creating workplaces where people thrive” mean to you?
I think people thrive in workplaces where they can play to their strengths while also receiving encouragement to grow. A cohesive team leverages individual talent to overcome challenges and seamlessly achieve its common goal, and when people receive the support that they need, they’re able to focus more on why they’re there in the first place.
